Sandwich Man feels like classic Central PA food, and I'm not sure how else to describe it. Their sandwiches are always excellent, and the vibes of the restaurant always capture that feeling of a deli that Harrisburg has just always lacked in the suburbs. It's a good sandwich in a city not really known for a lot of great sandwich places, and I hope more people check it out.

I always love the cheese grinders I get here. Even though I live in Texas, I make sure I come here every year that I come back to the Northland at least once. You just can't find subs like these down South. Typically I bring others with me who love them too. It's a family affair!

Best sandwiches! Step back in time, at this gem of a sandwich spot. The sandwiches are fresh and tasty good. The restaurant is super clean, nostalgic and gives comfortable vibe with wooden floors and original decor, furnishings and fixtures from perhaps the 1950's. Time stops and lets you rewind when you step in. Real baked turkey and terrific coleslaw on my turkey Russian dressing sandwich. Open kitchen adds to a charming, old world visit where the friendly staff make fresh food great! Excellent stop off Rt 81 if you are hungry! If I lived in area, it would be a fav top lunch spot.

A Harrisburg, staple! if you're looking for fancy decor, this isn't your place. If you're looking for a fresh well-made sub or sandwich, head over to the sandwich man. It's been a few years since I've been here, but my manager and I were looking for a quick lunch before getting back on the road. I ordered half of a turkey sub which was as large as a sub that you would get in a pizza shop. The turkey was fresh, the toppings were flavorful, and it was certainly more than I could eat. My manager ordered the half of a tuna sub and enjoyed it. Although there was a line, they crank the food out quickly.

Be specific about how you want your sandwich prepared. They did not have wheat beard , but the bread they used was thick cut and the sliced turkey they used on my sandwich was amazing!!!

Best subs in town hands down!!... but did you know they have sandwiches too? I know, they're called sandwich man...duh. But really, I never thought to order a sandwich here but boy am I glad I did. I tried their tuna on toast with bacon, cheese, lettuce and tomato. Largest sandwich I've ever had! Took me two days to eat it! Loved it. Can't wait to get it again. One star was taken off for location and eat-in area. It is what it is although it's a non issue for me. I usually do take out. Maybe next time you go the "Sandwich" Man, try a sandwich and see what you think?
